Celebrating 25 Years: The Foundation for Small Voices
This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Foundation for Small Voices (FSV), a 100% volunteer organization that has inspired thousands of people around the world through the power of music, compassion, and creativity. Founded by Stephanie and Jim Papoulis, FSV has spent a quarter-century empowering youth to find their voices and share their stories through songwriting, performance, and community engagement.
From classrooms in inner-city schools to workshops in underserved communities across six continents, FSV’s vision has remained clear: every child has a voice worth hearing, inspiring hearts and minds globally—proving that music transcends language, borders, and barriers.
Stephanie passed away in 2007, leaving us with a multi year plan, which has been a huge part of our evolution.
Our Songwriting Workshops inspire young people and guide them in creating original works that reflect their inner worlds in a safe, accepting place. These compositions have become anthems of hope and unity. Recent workshops include workshops in Brazil, Colombia, Portugal, United States, France, Spain, and Africa.
As we celebrate 25 years, we are constantly reminded of our original goals; to transform lives through music.
