The summer has already brought so much music…children…creation.

We began the summer at the end of June with the Queen City Children’s Choir Festival in Cincinnati, OH, where our founder Jim Papoulis was honored to be invited back by CCC Artistic Director Robyn Lana to serve as composer-in-residence for the eighth year in a row. Together with Jim, the Cincinnati Children’s Choir and guest choirs from around the country rehearsed his music and collaborated on a songwriting workshop. With much surrounding us in the world during these particularly historical and momentous days, Jim and the children worked together to write: Now Is the Time For Change.
There is a time for justice / a time for healing / a time to stand united
Through the storm that’s raging / a light is growing / that leads us up to freedom
As we stand up and sing for what we believe / we will join our voices for all to hear
Now is the time / hope finds a way / now is the time for change
Lift up your voice / you will be heard / now is the time for change
As we hear the silence / and see division / our cry for justice gets stronger
As we stand up and sing for what we believe / we will join our voices for all to hear
Now is the time / hope finds a way / now is the time for change
Lift up your voice / you will be heard / now is the time for change
We give voices to those who can’t be heard / we are voices of freedom
Now is the time / hope finds a way / now is the time for change
Lift up your voice / you will be heard / now is the time for change
